For Faculty

Tutorials: Be sure to check out
the tutorials link on the homepage for some great online tutorials (some have
bells and whistles) for both you and your students. Some tutorials give instruction
for using the electronic databases. Also check out the "how to" links
located below each online resource on the homepage.
Purchase requests: We will gladly do everything we can to get you items you need for class instruction. Keep in mind that most requested materials do need to return to the library to be available for check-out by others. Please plan ahead when requesting materials. We should be able to type up a purchase request within 24 hours if we have all the ordering information we need or can find availability quickly. After the request leaves the library, it must be signed off by the Instruction Office and then goes to the business office where the order is placed with the vendor. Your request will move more quickly if you supply vendor and contact information especially on audio-visual items.
Pathfinders:
(including a combination of
best internet, subscription and print resources) are gladly provided for your class
and/or assignments. Please provide a copy of the syllabi and assignment.
These pathfinders can also be uploaded to the library website and placed in the
"Class
Resources" link.
Tours and orientations are gladly given upon request.
Instruction modules are as follows:
Please try to call one week ahead of time
to schedule instruction time so that we
may reserve a classroom for your
students and tailor the instruction module(s)
to your class assignment.
Students learn best when given an assignment and
when the faculty instructor is present and interested. Please specify which module(s)
you'd like; we can increase or decrease the length of any module to meet your needs.
